The Hub is the farm’s own function room: one long, bright space with its own entrance, its own facilities and a pool table at the far end. It is where the christening lunch happens, where the birthday runs on past midnight, and where forty people can eat at one table without anybody having to tidy a cottage first.
It works because of what is around it. Book The Hub with the cottages and nobody drives home — the party is a hundred yards from the bed. Children can be put down in a cottage while the rest of it carries on. There is parking at the door and no neighbours to think about.
